Puppies Go Home

It was a sad, memorable and exciting weekend at Moondrop Gardens. Most of our puppies went to their new forever homes. It was so enjoyable to see how each family was sooo excited and happy to hold their puppy(ies) in their arms and know they would be going home with them that day. I was happy for everyone including the puppies bc I know they will be spoiled and cared for by the best.

Tracy with Erica now known as Furgi. The Apreas are waiting for her to come home.

The Bragas with Azalea now known as GINGER

The Cummins with Ginger and Herb now known as Abbey & Herbie

The Wiks with Iris now known as Milee Iris

Bernie with Dogwood now known as Remy- going home to the Dean Family

Fern now known as Sophia with her new family Anne and Guy, and cocker sisters Abbey and Emma

I have grown much from this experience as a person, as an dog lover, as a mother- learning even more about life, love and have made many friends along the way. I was flabbergasted by the cards, flowers and many gifts given to us from our families. It made me feel special and has encouraged me, knowing that the hard work we put into raising puppies is not overlooked. Thank you all for this wonderful experience. I hope it was as memorable for you as it has been for me. Each puppy will hold a special place in our hearts at Moondrop Gardens- no matter how many litters or years pass. We look forward to hearing about updates from your family and encourage you to contact us if you ever have any questions or just want to chat. We will continue our blog - so check bag often for updates and pictures.

My Pretty Flowers

Well - I certainly can not believe how big and beautiful they have all grown and each one with a shimmering, brilliant personality with big beautiful cocker eyes. All curious, all confidant and all ready to go to their new homes. I have enjoyed them so much and a will always have a little piece of my heart for each one. I know they will all be super spoiled and very well taken care of. Starting tomorrow puppies will start to go to their new forever families. I am trying to prepare myself emotionally - although I can hardly keep up with their energy and POOP! 12 Dogs in 1 house is total pandemonium- and because they need their exercise- I let them run and romp and roam around the house at least 3 times a day. It is CRAZY!!! LOL- But they need it. My floor needs a really harsh scrubbing- but I will leave it til next week..LOL! Here are their 8 weeks pics! Enjoy one last time!!!

Puppies Visit the Vet

The puppies have visited the vet and everyone checked out A-OK. he was pleased with their progress- complimented their beauty and conformation, and was very pleased with their overall being. Everyone came in and out just to see the 9 puppies. And I was sooo proud of them because they all sat on the table and were very friendly and were so calm for 7 week old puppies.

7 weeks in the Garden

I am seriously starting to get a lump in my throat thinking about all the puppies leaving. I think I am sad for Daphne bc I know she will miss them at first- but she is starting to get back into her routine of hanging out with her friends. For a while she had given up fetch bc her teats would not allow her to run to her full potential- and there was no point bc Dempsey is such a ball hog- that she gave up- but now she is starting to chase the balls again. She was a fantastic mother- and given the chance she still would feed them and clean up after them- when most dams give this up at 5 weeks- she is still willing...But I don't encourage her and bc there is little milk- the puppies give up soon....then they all play together. I gave the puppies their big dog haircuts (with the encouragement of Colleen-Azalea's mom (who incidentally is a groomer {LUCKY AZALEA}). They are all so precious and beautiful and big. They are all over 4 pounds now- and big boy Dogwood is just 5. Here is their 7 week pictures....Sorry this blog entry is so late- but now the puppies take so much time these last weeks. And I only gave them haircuts 2 at a time bc it took sooo long.

Redecorate Again?

Well- the nursery set up has changed again. We have introduced crates so that they get used to them- They have a potty area- that they USE FREQUENTLY and are now on their Canidea dry kibble only.

6 Weeks in the Garden

Well today the puppies are 6 weeks old. Only 2 more weeks until they can go home. They go outside daily, romp on the porch, the grass and run with the big dogs. They have visits with the cats, go for short car rides and are held and played with when all the visitors come over. They listen to music, drink water from a bowl, bark, whine, wag their little tails, come when called (sometimes) and are big puppies now. Oh my babes!! These pictures are very candid ones that capture a little bit of their personality. Next week they will get haircuts- and bring out the cocker in them!
